<<Erier>>
"Damn! Damn! Damn! Another brown one!" Erier kicked the ground and bushes and swiped the air with her fists needlessly as her temper caught up with her. In the distance a brown foal ran off to join its herd of feral horses. This area of Quel'thalas was unfamiliar to her so surely it would have had some Quel'dorei steeds running about. How long had she been at this again? She couldn't remember if half a day had turned into days.
"I'm gonna get one of these stupid, pansy horses for ya, Mal. You'll see. " Her stomach growls ferociously. "Need food. I'm out here huntin' for horses, might as well kill somethin' while I'm out 'ere. Need some fuel in me."
So the young orc took up her hunting spear, crouched behind a bush, and to her joy wasn't long waiting before she heard the trotting of a quiet animal nearby. Stag! She thought. She would have to be quick too. As soon as she heard him come out into the open she threw the spear, heard him fall to the ground upon being impaled, and jumped up with excitement from the arrival of her food....only to find instead of killing a stag, she just killed a Quel'dorei steed.
Erier stared at the dying steed with shock. Disbelief. A slap in the face. God crushing her dreams. All of that going through her in the couple seconds she looked at it before springing into action.
"Oh no! You're not dyin' on me! Mal needs you!" She kneeled before the corpse to pray to the spirits, calling on them to heal and revive the horse. "C'mon, spirits! Resurrection! C'mon! Please dun fail on me now, need this horse. Need ya to heal him." The spirits did not answer her. She was desperate enough to pull out the spear and try to stitch up the wounds and then try CPR on the animal. But that didn't work out too well....
"How could I have killed it?! He was right there! Right there! What I've been lookin' all over for! And I killed it! I killed it!" She was definitely agonizingly frustrated and angry with herself there.
She groaned as she sat by a fire she had prepared, kneeling beside it as she began to cut up the quel'dorei steed, too far gone to save. Looking thoroughly bummed as she began to cook the meat of the once elogent creature, Erier muttered to herself.
"Wonder how upset Mal would be if I told him I was bringin' home Quel'dorei Steed steaks for dinner...."
