Easy to understand. Post links to your favorite songs. Reasons why are also great.

Steve Miller Band- Serenade (total hippy song)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qq4j1LtCdww
Alice Cooper- Poison. Probably one of the sexiest songs ever written.

Neil Diamond- Solitary Man. Make that any Neil Diamond. He's got such a great voice.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nd4QRZeZc7w
Fleetwood Mac covering Sentimental Lady. They did a...hell. It's Fleetwood Mac. Can it ever not be utterly brilliant? My uncle Chris' favorite band, God rest him.

Beautiful Child.

Tusk. Unarguably the best bass and drum lines ever written.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtrOYsNCPmg
Bruce Springsteen- Radio Nowhere. One of my favorites, though anything by him is brilliant. Another of those really unique voices. You can't mistake Bruce for anyone else, ever. Do love this one too, however:

Jason Mraz- Life is Wonderful (yet another hippy song, and my life theme song, if there's such a thing. well. there is now)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=CB4fO-f33K0
Ludovico Einaudi- Primavera (modern classical piano at its finest). There's some amazing buildup in this one. Even if you don't care for classical listen to it all the way through. Bloody amazing. This man is probably one of the greatest modern day composers I've heard, ever.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2NEU6Xf7lM
Kurt Nilsen, et al- Hallelujah. Probably the best version of this song I've ever heard aside from my one-time former friend Bradlee, who did this song even better. God, I wish I still had that CD he made...
PS- Kurt Nilsen is utterly amazing. I love him so hard. This man sings and he gives me goosebumps all over.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwvLKl7EQ94
Rhapsody of Fire- Lamento Eroico. Nothing sexier than Italian singers. These folks give me goosebumps too, for different reasons than Kurt. The singer's vibrato is...indescribable. In fact, everything about this band is brilliant.
Some Nightwish (Ish WILL argue with me here, but I prefer the new singer over the older one...except for in this first song.)

Other favorites of mine of them:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9MsW1b0QAA
Amaranth. Yum.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=5juc6fmgylw
The Islander. I love this because of its celtic feel and how completely different it is from their other stuff. I won't lie; I'd listen to them forever and be in love if they switched to this style all the time. Blasphemy, I know.

Slipknot- Vermilion, Pt. 2. So damn soulful. I love their slow songs far more than the fast ones. I guess that's a theme with me. Also:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXEKuttVRIo (The short film/video made for this song...a tad disturbing- disclaimer for squicky folks)
I could honestly do this all day long, but I've suddenly found myself watching drumlines in awe...
